Hello!

My name is Jade Maclean and I am a Spanish and French tutor. I graduated from Heriot-Watt in 2012 with a 2.1 Master of Arts in Spanish Applied Language Studies. I also have a Bachelor of Arts in French and can speak a little German and Italian.

I offer lessons to all ages and abilities and can do lessons from my home in Arniston Vale, Gorebridge or I can come to you. I also go to schools and nurseries and currently teach at Little Hawthorn Nursery in Loanhead. Although I live in Midlothian I am more than willing to travel to Edinburgh and East Lothian. I have a full PVG which is available along with my degree certificate. 

 

I lived in Madrid for a semester of my degree and so have first hand experience of how Spaniards communicate and know colloquialisms, which make learning a little more exciting.  I have a real passion for languages and believe that learning a language opens up doors to career opportunities, social events, courage to move abroad and desire to travel. Not only that but it also boosts overall learning ability, vastly improves memory, impresses native speakers and most importantly gives you an overall sense of achievement.

 

So it’s a no brainer really!
